| To get back to the topic in hand, I would tend to agree that doing a CELTA is a waste of time for teaching in China, at least if the intention is to open up the job market. Most schools couldn't care less about CELTAs; having a Degree is considered much more important. That said, I think a CELTA might help someone with no Degree at all to get a job. |

I am a non-native speaker and I was offered by a recruitment agency to advertise in China because they don't care about it. I assume that pretty much means the same that CELTA or no CELTA is not important since the demand is too high. |

Sometimes .... when they have enough applicants. But I don't know any such orgs that take a CELTA as a qualification. Usually they are looking for something more, like the Brit ???PDGE? or whatever, or some kind of teaching license |
