| So the answer... after all of that.. is that you should have no problems... I would add that if you carry a UK passport, then where you were born wont matter at all. |
Well this is the issue i dont carry a UK passport, i could apply for one if i wanted to but out of principle i prefer not to. I think this is what concerns me most as i know a few countries like south korea or taiwan simply wont accept teachers from a non native country because of their visa requirements. |

| lack of British passport wont automatically disqualifiy you in Mexico.. but your creditials need to be stronger. Celta might be sufficient but degrees in English would be much much better. |

Your average Mexican won't have a clue what cricket is. 'European baseball' is probably about as close as you'll get. |

They think it's that game where you knock balls through hoops, which they pronounce cro-KET
Someone once told there was a cricket club somewhere in the Metropolitan area, obviously populated by expats, but I've never found it. Shame, I fancy getting my arm over again after all these years. |

Thanks for the links: Who'd have thought, a cricket thread in Mexico!
For anyone interested: The info from 2005 was:
Mexico City Cricket Club Contacts
Chairman: Keith Foster 5655 6082 [email protected]
Vice Chairman Paul Longshaw 5540 7904 [email protected]
Membership Secretary Nigel Bryans 5343 6803 [email protected]
Club Captain Max Cawdron 5584 1856 [email protected]
Club Coach Elliot Cartledge 5574 8046 [email protected]
Players Liaison Dean Illot 5207 8315 [email protected]
Maybe I'm related to the coach, my mother's maiden name was Cartledge. |
