I don't quite see the attraction to you of expats.ru, BELS. What's wrong with this site? At least it is for teachers, and well-frequented. I know there is the backpackers argument, but people who join professional organisations are self-selecting. I.e. backpackers who are likely to turn into teachers are likely to join and others won't.

I think this is a great forum to discuss about work as it is designed for. And may well it flourish. But we need something that covers everything for teachers, and we also need a certain amount of privacy, if it is possible. We have other issues to talk about. As the thread writer has stated, and there does seem to be a general desire to discuss the possibilities of building up a permanent teachers'association. We have a long way to go, and it won;t happen here.

We are restricted here, as we are restricted in what we say. It has been tried many times before but due to leading teachers losing interest within let us say a year the interest disappears. We need continuity of one thread, with rules such as when one loses interest , they have the interest of finding another moderator or admin to take their place.

I'm not sure what the restrictions are. I've seen criticisms of language schools here. The fact that people on this site have to wait until they've got actual evidence (e.g. non-payment, failing to uphold contracts) is a good thing in my opinion. I don't want to hear people's impressions of schools, as these are unfair and unethical and dare I say it, could land people in court.

I consider you well experienced in Russia such as I am. I tis common for non payment or slow paymeyment in Russia. With a future recession coming up up , this problem will increase unfortunately. The same as applying for jobs in the Summer, as you mey well be wasting your time, as they may well simply have you for their database for September. By then you will be poured with enquiries, in which you may well find you are busy yourself. YES! Too late for the schools offering you jobs! That's the way it is in Russia.

If you do do have knowledge of schools who have well paid jobs in Russia in the Summer? Please let me know. Most certainly the biggest and best country in the word iis definately Britain. With over 200 adverts , some of them very big employers, therefore we are talking many thousands of teacher vacancies. Does Summer work in Russia exist to such a massive scale? I don't think so.

But if you such Summer work, I would be most interested, as between June and the end of of August I find my business extremely quiete.

Hey, BELS, could you pm me? I've been wanting to ask you some things, but it says I'd have to post a dozen more times first.
Thanks for your inputs, BTW, I've been noting that you seem to be the only true optimist here.
