Exactly,
if I was still in grad school I would write some nonsense about the in diffeence in grammar allowance for collective nouns reflecting the socialist bent of modern europe vs the traditional individualism of the states.

U.S. does say "he is in a bad way" which is a little informal, I guess |

The BNC has 312 cases of have you got a for 51 cases of have you a and 188 of do you have a. |
