| Yeah, I love rainy season. Not the wind so much, or getting soaked every night on my way home from work, but the excitement is great and power outages make it seem like being a pioneer. My class, beginners, on Wednesday night had a great ghost story discussion when the power was out for 20 minutes. |

We're still getting showers here--fairly regularly, but they are short and don't have a lot of water to them.
My catchment system has not yet collected more than 7 gallons in any one rain. Last year I caught just over 600 gallons in our biggest rain! |

| It's rained here a little bit for each of the past few nights. Just before the rain is a hot dusty wind. I hope the real rains start soon. |

So what's the haps on the rainy season? I'll be back in Torreon for their rainy season (it's called one thunderstorm in August... and three in September, and then yep... dry for 11 months.
In Oaxaca do you get the afternoon showers all summer long? I LOVE those. |

Mikey,
It depends where you are in Oaxaca. I was on the southern coast of the state and it pretty much only rained when a hurricane was stirring up in the pacific. It'll be different in the Mixteca and Huatulco area...
