Great stuff!

This is what I want to do, except I'd go to Hokkaido and Kyoto.

BTW, how did you spend your time in the car? Listened to music? Played razzle dazzle dance revolution? Very Happy

We'd actually done Kyoto and Hokkaido so...

In the car. That was quite tough. We hadn't really brought a lot of music and our stereo is awful so it was conversation, mapreading, and we created a whole bunch of quizzes to amuse ourselves.

We hadn't seen my brother and my dad for ages (they live in NZ and the UK respectively) so we had a lot of catching up to do anyway.

We did stop quite a lot to keep ourselves sane!

Thanks for the encouragement about the tour online.

Took advantage of some time off this New Year to finish off the final two days of the trip.

Come with us as we attempt to view Nakadake - the active volcano on Aso in Kyushu:
Day 11

...and as we take the long way home on the Diamond Ferry across the Seto Inland Sea:
Day 12

Thanks everyone for viewing this. It has been fun to share the trip with you all.

There will be video available eventually. When there is and it is online, I'll be back with more. Early previews of the video have met with oscar-winning applause Wink

The website itself owns, but the photos confirm that there could not be anything more boring than touring Japan. I'd rather stuff noodles up my nose than pay for overpriced, overrated, Japanese points of interest. Do yourself a favor and spend the money on airfare out of here next time.
