The post office is a good option (and much cheaper than Black Cat) for sending things you can box up. When I moved I mailed a VCR, TV, computer, sat dish, three boxes of books, and two boxes of clothing. My stuff arrived in my new city before I did. The price is determined by weight (and size of the box), but again, it is much cheaper than delivery services like Black Cat. It cost me more to send two suitcases to Haneda (from Chiba) than the two heaviest boxes I sent to Kagoshima (via the post office).
