The Certificate of Eligibilty is the vital document that you need to take to your Japanese embassy/consulate in order to get your visa.
If you read around this forum, you'll see many posts in June/July time that were asking how easy it would be to get a job and start working by August, only to see people say that it wasn't very likely.
One reason is due to the visa process. You need a CoE to get the visa, but you need to already have a full time employer in Japan willing to sponser your visa to apply for the CoE on your behalf (you can not do this yourself). It takes on average about 2 months for your employer to get your CoE processed. They then send you the CoE, which you take to your local embassy to get your visa (this part only takes a 3-4 days). |
