Interesting discussion. In Canada our provinces issue our teaching credentials, yet that seems acceptable to teach in HK, thus I don't see why a state license would get denied.

In Canada you NEED to have a B.Ed to get a certification, whereas in America you don't. This could be the difference.

To the OP: Do you have a B.Ed or M.Ed, or did you just get that teaching qualification added with your BA?
