I would settle for the winning toicket in the Bahrain Duty Free Lottery
Cash prize is 150,000 Bahraini Dinars, or 1,500,000 Saudi Riyals or approcimately US$400,000.

Of course I would not give up my teaching job !

Scott, there is still time. Change your list. Ask Santa for Ambition.
The city centre draw in Doha during the winter festival is US$ 1,000,000

A decent-paying job anywhere in the world outside of Latin America plus airfares for the whole family.

Barring the above, that my two kids don't torment me too much over the next two weeks vacation.

Well, let's see:

1. Peace on earth
2. An end to hunger, sickness and poverty
3. Happiness for all humankind

Now that I've gotten THAT out of the way, I'll settle for a Toyota 4Runner, preferably with all the extras. And I figure I've got about as much chance of getting that as I do the first three.
Regards
John

A day off, a day without seeing Chinese faces and hearing their maimed English; the best place to get this is, I suppose, in northern Finnland - just where Santa Claus is reputed to have his dwelling-place!
A day there, under snow-laden fir trees and pines would be really great!

Either full-time employment here in Christchurch (relief gigs are way too few and far between) and the complete DVD catalog of John Wayne's early westerns with Lone Star and Republic Pictures, or a valid work visa to Australia (which considering my advanced age of 47 means I have the proverbial snowball's chance in hell). Also, Santa would be considered a top bloke if he didn't bring anything for my daughter that includes batteries or makes beeping or squawking sounds.

1.) A fully equipped weight room in my city. Not asking for a lot....just some freeweights and benches. The one in my city still has those cold-war era PVC/Concrete weights that shoot dust into your eyes when you drop them, and the benches look like they've been attacked by rapid wolverines.

2.) An English bookstore in my city that has a selection extending beyond "Bunnicula" (that's about a bunny who, through some bizarre twist of fate, became a vampire) and Choose your own Adventure books (which I inevitably cheat on anyway)

3.) One of those hoverboards from Back to the Future II. (Yeah I know, ain't happenin'....yet)

Dear Santa:

Pleeeeze bring me the 2 items outlined below:

1. new bathroom slippers (name brand, please) Ya know, the rubbery kind you can wear in the shower 'cuz the floor's covered with green slimey stuff from the previous tenant, whose foot hygiene cannot be trusted under any circumstances.

and

2. a year's supply of hair growth tonic that really works.

I'm so excited now. Okay --- That'll do it. Laughing

Gee, thanks santa. A theif broke into my apartment yesterday morning WHILE I WAS ON THE TOILET and managed to rip off my old 5GB Toshiba before I came out and saw the front door open.

Looks like Santa was listening. Gonna have to get that new computer now....
