The various countries do various degrees of checking. Most online degrees done through brick and mortar accredited universities tend not to mention it anywhere. I think it is a lesser problem than your lack of experience. If your interest is in teaching adults/university level, you need some experience for your CV to get a job with the better Gulf employers.
One way to get the experience is in Oman with the Ministry of Education jobs. If you read on the Oman board, you will read many tales of woe about them. They require adaptable, tolerant, patient teachers who can put up with the problems for the chance to make an OK salary, live in an interesting country, teacher generally pleasant students (though with a very low level of English) with often poor management or facilities.
You seem aware that you will have to start low, so check out the Oman board and spend a few hours reading some of the threads.
