Ok...

well we spoke to another "important" person at the head office today, and she's apparently coming to see us on Friday...

We are giving the school one last chance to come clean, or they WILL BE REPORTED ... parents will be told, newspapers will be told, local tv will be told as well.

On the tax website, it does state that the employer is RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL TAXES, not the employees.

So we have all calmed down just a little.

Even the local teachers haven't been given the correct forms from the office yet. So maybe they are scrambling now to do everything. Otherwise it will be the end of their business.

Gee, are the school initials SIS? LOL!

Seriously, you guys should be aware that whenever caucasians are involved, rules can be warped so the government gets more bribes. Watch your step. Make sure you have copies of your contracts.

Good luck!

We have a meeting today with people from the head office... if they turn up.

I guess we could let it go... and let it go late... especially since I'm leaving in July...

If ... the out come of today's meeting isnt good. I'll be naming names Smile

Hi,

Just thought I'd update things... if anyone is interested Smile

Well, I just returned from being out of town on Tuesday, and when I visited the office on Wednesday I was given a receipt form from the Tax Office, with their stamp and signature stating that the SPT has been paid.

I dont know, if they paid someone off in the tax office, or it was done properly, nobody signed anything.

So I guess we cant really do anymore, regarding the tax.

Because the people at the office know I'm going to Singapore on April 9th, they told me to show this receipt when I flash my NPWP card, showing that I have already paid the tax.

So, thanks to everyone for their, advice/concern and extra thanks to Fishy for your reassurance Smile

P.S It was nice for a change to have a topic that didn't turn into an argument Wink
