First of all, that's hardly politically uncorrect. I wouldn't even label that statement politically incorrect either.

Scot47, you disappoint me with this "one is missing out if one doesn't reproduce" statement. Surely, you are merely saying this to rile up a few?

Besides, I would have to choose the seedy bar, maybe not in South America though.

Cool

tsk tsk scott47,
I do have dependents, and not all parts of Manchester are slummy. and neither is every bar in Latin America seedy.
Just keep telling yourself one more year, just one more year working and then Ill enjoy it, one more year one more and you die
If after more than 15 years in the gulf you dont have enough, my guess is you never will, so just do one more year
Last I knew education is free in the UK, or would be in many latino countries, at least till 18, your offspring must be huge if they can eat their way through a ME salary.
Its a case of what you will settle for, I would prefer to spend time with my family than time away from them earning money to feed them
Slummy hose in the north, or palace near Edinboro, its still just somewhere to sleep

Sorry guty. I'm not one to pick up on typos. I'm gu(il)ty of them. But when it is my birthplace I have to correct you. It is a palace in Edinburgh not Edinboro. And to North American readers it doesn't rhyme with Pittsburgh

No, but I think one would be a Pittsburgher.

But a Pittsburger would be a cool name for local grill fare--well maybe not nowadays with Mad Cow finally hitting the States.

Well, they've got a mad President, so a mad cow here and there won't make a lot of difference.
Talking of crazy Presidents, I've sussed out why he dislikes Saddam Hussein so much. It's because he executed more people than Dubya and Jeb put together.

I traveled the world and the seven seas; everyone's searching for something. Some of them want to use you; some of them want to be used by you, yada, yada, yada.

The bottom line for me was this: Go back to Canada and find a real job; and I did: private French school: great pay, great benefits, nice people. Feel like a real teacher.

Mind you, I gotta an M.A in English and two-year TESL Certificate as part of B.Ed. TESL. Hope you got something of the sort and are not left on the broken wings of a CELTA or the like.

Good Luck
