As MsParker says, give it a bash - what have you got to lose? But don't expect to hear from HCT, ZU, UAEU or PI or any of the offshore accredited K-12 schools. You won't.
However, nothing ventured nothing gained. Some advice, don't accept any post that does not provide single accommodation, tickets home annually, at least a full 2 year contract, medical, and a valid work visa at the employer's expense. |

This is what I thought when I used a recruiter for Korea. In all fairness, the position could have been much worse from what I read happened to others. It is best to thoroughly vet any recruiter before committing and even then keep your 'feelers' out for those 'red flags'. |

| After reading everyone's postings, I am starting to wonder about this school in Dubai who recently hired me. I possess 2 Undergrad. Degrees and 1 year ESL experience. I am certified but I don't have my MA. Has anyone heard about Dubai British School and the legitimacy of its credentials? I looked the school up online and found a website but in today's world that means nothing. The package they offered me was so amazing that it seemed to good to be true, which I am thinking it is now. If anyone has any background on this school it would be greatly appreciated. |

Teachers should be four year-trained, with a Bachelors degree and Teaching Certificate (PGCE or similar) in the subject OR B Ed with the appropriate subject major. You should have a minimum of two years qualified teaching experience, preferably in a UK-based or international curriculum. The ability to be patient, resourceful and flexible are essential qualities, while the ability to communicate and teach in English as a first language is vital.
Is what the DBS website cites as their required qualifications for teachers, you don't have them. Who are you talking to? Is it directly with DBS? If it's a recruiter it's probably a scam - especially if it sounds too good to be true. |

SCAM.. I guess you didn't bother to do a search here. If it seems to good to be true, it always is...
