I find it funny that my degree is from the real RMIT in Melbourne and I don't even get a sniff from them. R.M.I.T in Aus is a degree mill. I think of it as a business rather than a university. They sure do need to advertise a lot which is not a good sign.
In VN, RMIT is a diploma mill also. There is also a paper-writing problem, as the papers submitted from students are often written by others for a payment. I know companies in HCMC that do not hire RMIT grads for this, and other reasons. |

I've been following this post. Having worked for a RMIT affiliate university in Wuhan, China, all I can tell those who read this thread is that RMIT provides a well-structured learning environment for the students, one in which if learning is the objective, then it will be accomplished given the format. I never had any problems with RMIT with respect to pay, benefits and/or administration. I can't imagine the Vietnam affiliate being much different.

Well, I've been sucessful in my recent application at RMIT and am due to start in Aug. I was giventhe impression in the interview that the teachers there are a young bunch and perhaps this is the reason for the initial poster's problems. Perhaps they are also looking for teachers with academic english teaching experience, something which I've gained in the past couple of years working for an English University?

Have fun with the management and be sure to bring a shovel, perhaps a bucket too.

Experience preparing students for the IELTS exam and extensive EAP experience will get you a job at RMIT. There are some really nice people and some excellent teachers working there. The campus is in district 7 which is a bit of a trek otherwise it is not a bad gig. I'm considering applying. The money isn't great compared to universities in the Middle East but the standard of living probably makes up for it.
