Dear NCTBA,
The diction is fine - homespun county bumpkin attorney who always beats up on the big firm top guns, a la "Matlock."

It was not being in it for the MONEY that I meant.

Regards,
John

Thank Allah for the private tutoring rates (~ SR/AED 200/hr) in Gulf Arab countries... an extra SR/AED 30,000-35,000 per year (3-4 hrs/week) doesn't hurt! Very Happy

Teaching small groups of friends/siblings is even more profitable:

2 students: 150 x 2 = SR/AED 300/hr
3 students: 125 x 3 = SR/AED 375/hr
4 students: 100 x 4 = SR/AED 400/hr (or even 500/hr)

And some families are willing to and do pay 250-300/hr.

I just made SR. 900 today!

One day I am going to quit my job and do private tutoring only. SR. 1,000/day is an easily achievable goal. Just 5 days a week makes SR. 20,000/month, working just 15-25 hrs/week! And in Dec/Jan and May/Jun, you can easily make double!

I've never heard of any Emirati families not paying for their tuition though they will attempt to negotiate upfront so you need to be sure you're firm on the amount. However, other middle eastern nationalities are another matter. Egyptians especially should be avoided unless they are prepared to pay upfront.
