My thought was to wonder why you would need a driver. Good Luck in your new endeavor.

why have a driver?
1) you don't have to park
2) you don't have to drive
i know several university teachers in kuwait with part time drivers which amount to less than a lease
take me home, james |

Why pay good money for something that one can easily do by oneself? I've never been a helpless female and don't plan to start any time soon. I also never had a maid.
Different strokes...

Veiled, et. al. ...back and forth on the wisdom of buying/renting a car or entering into some co-op/sharing thing with respect to transportation in Al Ain...gonna get there first and get the lay of the land, but I would appreciate any thoughts or experiences any may have had/are having...
Forumians, please report... (sounds vaguely like some alien race from Star Trek!)
(...can anybody guess my two favorite forms of punctuation? 0 |

| Come, find out the whereabouts of your school, get yourself a 'good' local taxi driver and you'll be fine. You only need a car if your school is a long distance from where you live. |

| ...thank you, Zoot!...I imagine I will find out which school I am to teach in when I get there...would be nice to know earlier, but...and do I understand correctly that the sexes are separated in the ADEC schools?...I wonder if I will have girls in the classroom (to calm down the boys!) and the staff will be all male or all female?... |

| genders are ALWAYS separated though I'm not absolutely certain about this at KG level. No men in girls schools, maybe women in boys schools. good luck calming the boys! |
