I lived at Silom Lofts for a month when I was studying at ECC Bangkok: http://www.silomlofts.com/ Good location with free WIFI. Swimming pool, gym, swedish sauna. One free washing machine and dryer (you'll have to queue if it's in use) and paid ones as well. 32,000 baht a month for a one-bedroom.
Another cheaper alternative which doesn't come with the pool, gym, sauna, washing facilities or WIFI at 20,000 baht is Sathorn Terrace: http://www.sathornterrace.com/ Upside is that it's really stone throw's away from the BTS.
Both apartments are as in the photos on their websites so you may be assured. |

| Try looking at Bangkapi - you can get the canal boat/bus daylight hours for only 20bt a throw, and decent rooms (1/2 bedroom) for about 5-10k/month. That means you have to travel, but if you like to see the city from a different perspective (and have earplugs - those boats are noisy), you can read a book, listen to your stereo and just watch the world go by as you commute. I did it for two years and never fell off the boat once (although, one time...). |
