| I don't know what to expect when I visit Denmark - with a work permit and the right 'look' (professional, well put together) and experience it may be a breeze. Or it may be difficult - but I am willing to put my best out there and see what comes of it. |
I cannot speak for Denmark but I met a woman of African decent who has lived her life in Sweden. She only had good things to say about Sweden. Maybe Denmark will provide you with the same experience.

I know both Swedes and Danes who have dark skin. I don't think there's much discrimination in these parts of the world in this respect.
Probably we should all try to leave our stereotypical view of what Scandinavians look like behind |

I'm less convinced that experience in Asia translates very well to European contexts. There are significant differences in every aspect of the teaching/learning context - from appropriate approaches and methods, student attitudes to the process and their motivation for learning, materials and focuses....
I have worked with teachers with only Asian experience both in Canada and Europe, and the gaps tend to be really large. |
I agree with you totally and it was also a huge transition for me going from Korea to Saudi Arabia. However, the OP seems simply to want to go somewhere where s/he can gain some savings and a bit of experience. Probably, there isn't another EFL destination than can adequately prepare one for Denmark.

To the OP:
No doubt there is extreme racism in Korea although there are those on the Korean job board who deny it. If that's a concern for you, it would be best to avoid North Asia.

Not to mention that there is even a sort of racism against Korean born Americans and Korean born Canadians. For some reason Koreans don't seem to think that those people can speak English. |
