As for shots in the arm. Well that's another story.
I had my twinrix vaxine for Hep A & B almost two years ago and the antibody test for these two virus (is virus already plural?) are still in me. The blood samples showed a strong contingent of their antibobies.
The shot itself took three applications at different intervals of time.
