I'm fine with your explanation, Slave to the Lathe (Apparently, VS never took MS/HS wood shop! Laughing ). I realize that you were in flame-thrower mode with the other poster and it was obvious that the poster was pushing yer buttons.

Personally, I wouldn't have any experience in confronting obnoxious posters. Wink

And, I understand how such purile behaviour (Yes, John, "u" Laughing ) can push one over the ledge. You say that you've been here before and I have no reason to doubt you. In that case, you will have noticed the unbelieveable...dare I say it...desperation...that many new posters on this board have displayed over the past year or so. We try to, not mentor (although a few of us have, including your's truly...it has always been from those who demonstrated senseability and a willingness to listen & learn), but give the best advise that we know how. Some of us are still in the koh and some are out...some are retired, but still willing to lend an ear to try to help. Many of us disagree with each other's opinions of their experience, but are adults and find the room to "agree to disagree".

What has been coming from a hellova lot of "newbies' is a very nasty undertone when they don't like the answers they feel entitled to receive. And then, they pick themselves as pedestal and pretend to pontificate as if they were some kind of elected representative of the down-trodden. Some send nasty posts and disparage dear old Homey (and other "flashy" posts) as well as sending nasty PMs.

I appreciate your words. I wish you the best of luck. For the nastier ones, I have no special thoughts...karma will visit the deserving ones as well as the undeserving...

I was excepted from this group. I don't mean to pick on spelling, but excepted in this context applies to literally millions of teachers of the language.

Sorry. Not my intent to provoke internet rage. I understand the urge - I have it in connection with cars myself.

Finally I, too, am impressed with the screen name.

Oh on the contrary you have been left out due to repetiton of regular posters. You were not in my RAM but somewhere in my hard drive. Very Happy
