It is common for Arabs to say "free bills". (and I have heard South Asians say it as well)

Other common but funny mistakes Arab students make:

"We won them" (We won/they lost/We defeated them... very common due to football)

"I won't be lating the procedure", "Was I lating?" (no need to explain!)

If someone else is paying the bills, they are free to you.

But even if there were no "free bills," there sure was a "Free Willy."

Very Happy

All I wanted to know was what kind of places people are living in. It wasn't a question asked for personal help.

What did I get, some worthless conversation on the playing of words. What a waste. Thanks a lot!

Welcome to our board!

I'm sorry you didn't get the help you required, but as Stephen said, your question is just far too general. I'm sure some people are living in posh compounds with swimming pools and tennis courts. Others are in shared apartments in distant suburbs. Perhaps if you told us what you'd been offered, or what employer you're considering, we could help.

What was the question? Ugh, you know you can actually go to page 1 and read it, right? Are you too board to go back a page and read?

You are a teacher or a joker? Are you paranoid to the extent that you believe everyone else here is as demented as you?

Please, be civil. The auahmed guy is obviously not an English teacher and he/she was just trying to get some info. Just look at ourselves and see how many of us write in reasonably good, correct English. Many of us who haunt this forum are semi-literate, highly conceited, avaricious persons who masquerade as EFL teachers, and take home salaries which they should never get, just by the virtue of the colour of the skin and the cover of their passports. They wouldn't compose a good ten-line description of themselves in one day.
Why do we have so many morons among us is one question, the more important one being why they should be let to feel on cloud nine after maligning our less fortunate brethren?
WMTN.

Wow.

Follow your own advice.

Funny thing is, you are disparaging the same person you chastised me for calling out in another thread for their weird syntax.

Apparently, people are living in the kinds of places in which they are so bored they spend most of their time on Dave's playing word games.

So now you know they have an internet connection there!
