| Well, the colonial history has given many westerners the impression that anything non-western is not quite good enough, and therefore the superioritycomplex and the arrogant attitude. It is the product of the culture or recent history. |
Having traveled within China with orientals who were born and raised in the west - I've noticed the 'not quite good enough attitude" coming to the surface on several occasions!!!!!
Try looking at the tourist forums - and the comments of Singaporean's and other Asian tourists on the subject of 'not quite good enough in China".
After wading through that stuff us western folk seem quite well mannered and adaptable!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

I bet there are at least 10 to 20 thousand FTs in China and this forum
has only hundreds of active users. So opinions and complaints here are just a drop in the bucket. Of course, only the government has these
figures.
The majority of the FTs, I am sure, have no problems worthy of publicity in a forum such as this one. Most just go on their merry way and deal
with whatever their daily chores or challenges are as though they are at
home.
For those who share their challenges and experiences, thank you. I think
the FTs will do a better job when they are more informed. |
