You beat me scot! I was born in this country less than a decade (more than half a decade) after you arrived here!

Congratulations, err, I mean, commiserations! Very Happy

As for the health aspect of Skyflakes, a little bit of what you fancy does you good. It is amazing how many food items now contain Palm Oil though. A hydrogenated fat - I am sure it must be bad for you.

I will think of the remark of Frederick the Great to his Brandenburg Grenadiers when they were a bit slow in advancing during one of his military adventures, "Ihr Hunde, wollt Ihr ewig leben ?"

("You dogs, do you want to live for ever ?")

This seems like the appropriate thread to ask this question as some of you seem to be into health food.

Can you buy apple cider vinegar with the mother still in it in SA? I've been drinking it every morning for the last 8 years and I'm not sure how I would function without it. Most people don't even know what I'm talking about in the U.S. so I'll understand if you don't have a clue.

Apple cider vinegar is available in the bigger cities (Jeddah,Riyadh,Khobar). Not sure about the boondocks. As for "with the mother still in it" I have not seen that anywhere, never mind in KSA.

I am happy to report that I found exactly what you inquired about at a big grocery store in Jeddah. And 2 brands nonetheless, one from US, the other from Germany (or maybe Holland).

And yes, the mother was in both of them!

I trust that the anti-feline symbolism will keep all these cats away from me.
