The Director, I hear, is brand spanking new and is probably at this moment trying to solidify roots, whilst the others are seasoned vets...I hear...

| Any inside intelligence?.....Is the 'Ruler' still there? IF so, have she and the Claw formed an alliance to tyranise the staff, or does it look like a power struggle will develop between them? |

Hi, it's me again. I'm the one who posted the original question.
I think that some of the comments have gone a little off topic. That's probably my fault for not being too clear in the first place.
Really, all I was asking was if I am the only one at ADWC to feel completely adrift amongst all this management and power hungry craziness. A lot of times my colleagues and I are being ordered to do things that are, hmm ---- ----- ----- stupid .
I like my job. I like my students. I don't want to transfer or leave HCT. I just want to know how to deal with managers that seem to be demanding and who don't seem to have any concern or understanding about how to teach English.
Also, I want to thank those people whp sent me personal messages.

| As we did (and some still do) on my HCT campus - do what you have to do in order to get by, do the best you can in the class and with your prep, avoid the whingers (you may be deemed guilty by association) - and make sure you have a "real" life outside of work to keep you sane. |
