Thanks for all this digging around Scot. From what you say, it doesn't seem that the tax position for non-UK residents has changed from when I left a few years ago.
As far as I know, you don't pay income tax again in the UK if you already pay it in another country. But if you own a house in the UK and rent it out, you pay tax on that rentable income in the UK. |

I checked with local Inland Revenue office where I live in Scotland. Provided you are outside UK of GB & NI for most of the year you are OK. You will pay no tax on earnings from work outside UK. Average stay cxan be 90 days per year over any four-year period.
Messrs Cameron and Clegg can get someone else to pay for his new Aircraft carriers and Trident replacement. |
