I have heard very mixed things about ACI. I have friends who work/worked at both the Levent and Bahcekoy campus. The pay is pretty standard, the housing in Ortakoy is decent, and they get you a work visa. The mountains of paperwork is no lie. My friends had to spend class time doing it because, unless you want to stay later at school, you had to get it done everyday. Not to mention the reports three times a year. I was told the paperwork is less in primary though since you are just a branch teacher not class teacher. The director has a deservedly bad reputation but you can find folks like that at any school. ACI has a good reputation in Turkey and you could do a lot worse. If you take it and don't like it there, you are in a good position to look at other schools and network while you are here. English teachers are a close and helpful bunch of people (we stick together ). |
