With Vancouver and Toronto both coming in at 67%, maybe we must deduce that the earth's polarities have shifted and that the Great White North is now the Deep South, eh...Y'all.

I think we should add a few of our own questions.

1) At a fast food restaurant, do you say...
A) for here or to go
B) stay or to go

2) When queing do you say...
A) stand in line
B) stand on line

3)Do you call rubber beach sandals
A) flip-flops
B)sandals
C) slippers

4) do you call waste product
A) garbage
B) trash
C) rubbish

5) If something stinks, do you say
A) smells like s.h.i.t
B) smells like ass

So I guess I would say smells like sh#t

I've heard 'smells like ass'--probably on South Park or something. I think I've even said it on occasion.

Uh oh--not to make an "issue" out of this (although I'm still indignant that I am not represented geographically...), but mass media can really de-regionalize slang.

1. here or to go? ( Uh, by the way, to say this, I believe I'd have to be working there).

2. stand in line

3. flip-flops (or shower shoes)

4. trash - well, sometimes garBAGE (accent on the secong syllable)

Oops, I didn't have a chance to answer but would have gone with all A's. However, flip flops and sandals to me are completely different kinds of footwear. Is it just me? Razz
