I am looking for intensive when it comes to these things I was just saying that I didn't think keeping up intensive Spanish courses like the ones pointed out (several hours daily) in addition to a teaching schedule would necessarily be feasible.
I'd like to try it out for longer than a few months, because I don't know that these things are really representative of what I'd be doing if I did decide to do this long term. I know I like the basic idea (languages, teaching people), and have a little bit of sort-of related volunteer experience (not running a classroom myself, though), but it's the daily reality of it, more than anything, that I'm trying out. Liking the idea of something doesn't necessarily mean wanting to do it for years on end! That's what I'm hoping to figure out |

I've heard this, but my understanding of it is, that Cambridge recommends you be at least 20 years old, but it's up to the individual schools running the course, and many of them will accept you if they think you seem competent but aren't yet 20.
But if I'm wrong, that means waiting a few more months than I'd planned--irritating, but doable. It would depend on where you wanted to do the CELTA, though, I think. |
