When I mentioned the idea of "co-teachers" to certified teachers in the Western world they just gave me a blank look.

Simply put: " you can't have two cooks in the kitchen".

Other than some initial class management, they are not helpful. If you are working with a helpful co-teacher then consider yourself lucky.
