I suppose it's possible to overcome a Harvard education (best example: Antonin Scalia), but most of those guys you listed are not really on the right. Bush, for example, is a RINO, pulled to the left by his silly, librarian wife, not to mention Harvard. Try Hillsdale College if you want to find a real conservative.

Dear boundforsaudi,

"Try Hillsdale College if you want to find a conservative."

Good heavens - why would anyone want to? Besides, we've got you. Very Happy

And I also suspect that anyone IN Saudi would have little difficulty finding conservatives.

Regards,
John

Ok. Should have been more clear. I know KFUPM is a better institution academically, but that does not necessarily mean it is the better place to live/work. From what I've heard, it probably is, but I was hoping for some pros and cons of each place from the standard of life for teachers perspective (and yes, I do know both places are in the KSA Very Happy )

Can't imagine why I'd want to... read a list of their supposedly famous alumni and only recognized the name of the religious nutcase founder of the Blackwater mercenary outfit. Bit of an embarrassment that one...

Mr mjmrjp... from all I have read here, unless money is your only goal, KFUPM has always had the best reputation as a decent place to live or work. That said... by the time you get there, it could be new management and... well... you know what I mean.

Why do you call him a religious nutcase? He's a Catholic, not a suicide bomber. He resigned from Blackwater to become a high school teacher. Hmmm. Maybe I could do a certificate at Hillsdale.
