Hello, powerrose! Thanks for your advice. Yes, everyone is telling me to get my TEFL through Celta/Trinity. I understand that these are the best out there, but I don't have that type of money in my budget to do this. I understand everyones concern, but I'm going to get my TELF through TELF bootcamp.com. My girlfriend has already said that the school that I will be teaching at will accept this certification. I know people may think I'm taking a short cut here, but money is a big issue. I can always go back and get my TELF through Celta/Trinity when I have the available funds. I will do this as soon as I have the money for it. As far as now, this other TEFL certificate is fine and will help me get my feet wet. I'm very serious about teaching and I will do everything in my power to be the best I can be, but I have to take baby steps. I don't have the money for the full monty. I have not yet completed my 100 hours of student teaching yet. I did understand the reputation for U of phoenix. Regardless what other people say, they are a good school and I'm happy with them. Once again, thanks for your input. |
