I have spent a considerable amount of time recently looking for information concerning teaching in Japan as of late. But, I have not been researching information on securing a job in Japan. I am now at this stage.

So what you're basically saying is that you lack the nous to find the sites yourself, can't use the search function, haven't read the stickies, and like whining at people that were politely suggesting you try a different approach?

You sound like a real winner, mate. Rolling Eyes

Good luck with the attitude and wanting to be spoonfed. Smile

Oh, and go ask over on Big Daikon <www.bigdaikon.com> because they're very welcoming people and would love to help you, I'm sure. Cool Laughing

For the love of the ghods, don't point him to JET: we don't need more people with a sense of entitlement applying.

Although I do enjoy interviewing them.... Twisted Evil

I don't have a sense of entitlement, I do have a silly expectation of general respectability from teachers, which apparently I have yet to see from here.

Ah, then so instead of being helpful, instead you point out an error in my typing, which judging by it's rushed nature, could have been in main part because I was in a hurry, maybe?
Is this also a mistake due to typing too fast? I wasn't even going to mention the IE vs. i.e. error, but you are drawing fire here.

Some of these cover all of Japan. Some are region-specific. You didn't mention where you were interested. Some of the links are also employer-specific. Also, many of the links will overlap with ads that have been posted in more than one place.

There are far more, and they are easy to find with Internet searches, not just a search function on Dave's.

Thank you. I had a few of those, now I have more.

Pssst, the stickies about jobs in Japan disappeared months ago.

Thanks. Although a poster DID give me quite a bit of information. I am rather unimpressed by the attitudes here. Sad

Your method is offensive in its own way, and I am unimpressed by your lack of initiative.

A little effort on your part would be appreciated. As it is, your helplessness as well as your "I deserve to be catered to" attidude is offensive even to a newbie as myself. I imagine it is even more offensive to those who have been posting here for over a decade.

You have a right to be offended. I will not deny you that right. I actively encourage others to feel offended.

No, I am reacting, I started out with an honest question. All I got were buff responses, I respond in kind, I'm labeled some evil wunderkind, and that's it aye? Honestly, just looking for information. I've found what I needed, I thanked those who offered. Now, I'm responding to you. And it isn't trolling, I DO encourage you to feel offended.

I read through lots of different countries and these posts always surprise me.

First I would like to say that I always appreciate how kind (and straightforward) Glenski is no matter who posts. I've never seen him be anything but informative and mature. There are few guys like him on these message boards.

Second, to the OP, while everyone here realizes that Dave's search function is unreliable, you do realize your faults right?

Almost everyone on these boards have been in the same position you are so they realize where you're coming from...but with GOOGLE at your fingertips, and with your questions (and answers) being so painfully common, people almost have a right to be irritated. If you had scrolled down you probably would have found 75% of the answers to your questions.

Also, as an ESL teacher, you should be a little embarrassed by quite a few of your posts. Some of them are so grammatically strange that they're almost unreadable.

I never understand how there are so many people out their who are typing "rushed" posts. What's the excuse? Does your computer have a timer? Did you leave a sauce on the stove?! Do you have to diffuse a bomb? This isnt directed at you, but to people in general. If I see one more person using the excuse of being rushed for their poor posting I am going to go out and stab a hobo.

Wuld type mor butt uups sorri I gotz to run!

Keep your head up, Wes. It's just the culture here. It hasn't changed for years and I don't think it will change any time soon.

Anyway, you should use this instead of the regular search function:

It's much easier.
