How do I find these? None of the big companies do this? Are there specific organizations that can help and facilitate w/moving to Japan for this?

Thank you SO much for your help, by the way.

The most famous are interac (not so good) Altia Central (pretty good) and numerous others.

Just read the adds that say teaching at hs jhs etc and look for a company type name in the e-mail adress if the add doesn't openly state their name.

They'll pretty much all be dispatch comany adds now. Very few private schools advertise for their dirrect hires anymore.

Look here:

Many will help with moving to Japan. They often have websites.

Best bring a lot of cash to be on the safe side when you come.

Gotta go. Later!

My husband and I came together and even being married we had a hard time finding a company that needed two teachers. Although he speaks fluent English and was raised speaking English by an American -born mother, he grew up in Belgium and has Belgian nationality making him a "non-native speaker". I interviewed with Aeon and they seemed pretty open to placing couples together if they hire both of you. That naturally wasn't our case him being "non-native", but it might work for you.

I think the best thing is to interview with Aeon and maybe Nova (?) and see what kind of impression you get. Keep an eye on the message board though. In July, we were giving up hope of finding a couple position. On a Friday, we saw a posting for a September 1st opening and by Monday we had the job so you never know.

I work for a small eikaiwa that is into hiring couples. I'm sure there are others. Unfortunatley it's hard to find them, you kind of have to wait for them to post somewhere and then grab it. Right now we have 5 couples at various branches (some married, some not).Maybe something will open up here in September. God knows, it would be the excitement of the year for me if there was another New Yorker drama junkie here. I am enjoying Japan but god do I miss New York and theater so,so much....

Anyway, sorry for the ramble...Good luck!
