| You can go to the Filipino bars on Sunday. It is only 60NT a beer there. |

Be very careful of the "all you can drink" bars in Taipei. I've heard recently (this year) of some people going there and being ok, but for years people would get horribly drunk (like alcohol poisoned-drunk) on only a few of their spirits drinks. I suspect they were mixing some nasty crap into their beverages. I only went once, had one drink, got very nasty head spins, etc and received a pretty good hangover the next day.
If you do go, one option is to stick to the beers, and watch them open each one in front of you... |
This is good advice.
And stay away from Taiwan Beer - or any beer made in Taiwan or China. They have chemicals or formaldehyde in these cheaply made beers that give wicked headaches the next day. The worst beer I've ever drank, actually.
I've seen some pretty messed up kids laid out on the sidewalk outside B1, or whatever it was called, in the past who took part in the all-you-can-drink deals. |

| Heineken is just about sold in every 7/11 and D-mart. A 650 ml bottle goes for 80 NT, and it beats getting "the headache" from Taiwanese and Chinese beer. |
