| Summer school pay in England has probably been criticised in countless threads on here, but my ex-girlfriend pocketed 215 quid a week as a house parent last year (doing many many hours let's say). She was apparently earning (almost) the same as some of the 'fresher' teachers they had at the camp in south west England. Joke. |

| Student teaching in the US. We pay a couple thousand or more to work full-time teaching in a public school full time for 3 or 4 months. |
