I actually was hesitant to use it with my students at first for the opposite reasons Freddy listed about Facebook. My students are all over 18 and edmodo is designed with K-12 classes in mind. (One example, students do no need an email address to use edmodo) But the look of it is sleek enough that I'm sure my uni students don't even know that it's designed for kids. |

I was trying to get a wiki going for the group of teachers from Oaxaca on PB Works, but edmodo is not as complicated to navegate - a big plus for ELLs -and it still has a sophisticated enough look for adults and young adults.
