Oh my goodness!! never thought I'd say this twice here, but somebody fetch me my smelling salts!!

Yep to Johnny Depp, David Duchovny, Kevin Spacey, Anthony Hopkins and Edward Norton. Yech to Tom Cruise, except in The Last Samurai, and only because of his beard. I've got this weird thing for a man with the talent for growing a good beard. Weird. Rolling Eyes

How about lean and muscular and able to carry on a witty and entertaining conversation while helping you fix your car?? Ah.

Yeah yeah I know, dream on!!! Wink

To what do I owe this latest snipe, my feisty Torontonian? Confused

How do you define that?

My question exactly. How do you define "hunky"? I think that I could more accurately describe characteristics I don't like than ones that I gravitate toward. For example, I don't like facial hair (don't ask me why, I really don't know). Beards, moustaches, goatees, sideburns...don't like 'em. I also don't like gigantic beer bellies on men (does anyone?). Nor do I like the I-haven't-bathed-in-two-weeks look. So if "hunky" means clean-shaven, well-groomed, and in pretty good physical shape, then I guess my answer is "yes". In any case, even if he's all of those things and then he opens his mouth and proves to be as dumb as a brick...see ya, bye bye now. Rolling Eyes I would date a bearded, beer-bellied, unkempt man who is witty and intelligent sooner than I would date a dumbell. Hmmmm....is that politically correct? Cool

Hollywood men that float my boat: Denzel Washington, Vin Diesel, Orlando Bloom, Cuba Gooding Jr., Heath Ledger, Goran Visnjic, Mark Wahlberg, Val Kilmer.

Russell Crowe is my type, but not with that stringy blond hair he has in Master and Commander. Denzel Washington and Patrick Stewart also float my boat. I think it's something about general presence, what they used to call animal magnetism, or just "it".

I too am not thrilled by Tom Cruise, nor by Brad Pitt. I can't say I'm too impressed by Johnny Depp either, although he is a good actor. I don't like that pretty boy thing much.

I have a good friend who goes crazy for scrawny, pale, greasy-looking English rocker types. I find them revolting. Who can say why we like what we like?

I like Tom Selleck (reminds me of my Dad, must be the moustache).

I like Keannu Reeves. (reminds me of my brother, but my brother comes off smarter)

I like Dennis Miller and Chris Rock. (I find smart and sarcastic irresistable)

Strictly on looks, I'd have to go with Ewan MacGregor(sp?). He has romantic eyes(reminds me of my husband)

Hum.. smart and sarcastic...I would go with Denis Leary.

I agree with Capergirl. What he find attractive is so different for so many people, men or women. I don't mind facial hair a bit, so long as it is groomed and well kept. I like short hair or no hair. A small beer belly is ok but someone who has not seen his feet in 10 years would turn me off.

My biggest turn on is intelligence. It has been said many times that the brain is the largest sex organ and I truly believe that. My current crush/flame is brilliant and I get goosebumps just talking to him...which is what I have to settle for with him in OZ and me in HK. Surprisingly, it is enough for me.

Apparently, the less hair, the sexier I find them.

Italian research some years back concluded that baldness was directly related to higher levels of testosterone.
So basically, the less hair, the more...(Fill in the gap).

Quite frankly, I think he is a snivleing little twit. He makes my skin crawl and NOT in a nice way. He bugs me. I am SICK of seeing his large, enhanced face on the back of every HK bus in Central. Can't really put my finger on WHAT bugs me about him specifically, but he just irritates me.

Dear dmb,

"It wasn't meant to go onto a second page."

Yeah, right - sure it wasn't. I mean, why would a thread having to do with SEX go on for more than one page?

Regards,
John

I, too, have a weakness for pasty Euro-rockers, but I think I would much rather gaze fondly at their pasty faces in magazines than have their pasty bodies close to mine. I like the image, but I also like health.

Are we limiting ourselves to Hollywood, or can I throw in some baseball names? Jeter and A-Rod--what a pair!! Although I am fully 100% a west coast girl, I must say that the Yankees will have the sexiest line-up this year.

Eh... liking someone for their talent and presence/intelligence means you want to have sex with them? I'd just love to have coffee with Patrick, Alex or Gackt and hear them speak... The fantasy that they may have profound things to say really just melts me.

Camui Gackt is another favorite of mine. But I don't think it's his looks at all.. I mean.. he's the epitome of a sissy, scrawny, femme boy. But his voice! *Shiver* Now that's a God given talent. Leonardo Di Caprereo or whatever the hell his name is.. does zilch for me. In Titanic, I was thrilled that he froze to death.

Yes: Viggo Mortenson (speaks 5 languages!), Colin Firth, Gabriel Byrne, Johnny Depp, Hugh Grant in interviews but not so much in films (sharper wit and spikier personality), Kevin Spacey, Patrick Stewart... and strangely enough, Kevin Kline.

No: Leonardo DiCaprio (ick), Tom Cruise (double ick), Brad Pitt (though I do admire his knack for architectural design)... actually most of the guys who are touted as hunky or handsome or babes. YAWN.
