Not advocating a runner per se, but why, in most cases, is leaving a $5.00 an hour job in which even many of the most basic of necessities promised are not delivered cosidered shamefully "a runner"? Why is a contract necessary for a $5.00 an hour job in which the employee isnt even legally supposed to be working?
Funny, if it was a Mexican "undocumented worker" doing dishes in Arizona and it was found that his "accomodations" were a rat infested slum "provided" by the proprietor, said proprietor would be arrested, and many of those on here critical of "pulling a runners" hearts would be bleeding...
Yes, I know, we are in China. Its different. Were different, right? |
