It also happens in other countries - but there they cover it with increased taxation. A former Prime Minister of Canada increased the national debt by 1100% - yup. He is still highly reverred by many. When I remind folks that our high tax rates help to cover those past excesses, they stop talking ... I also mention the excesses spent on the Vancouver and Montreal Olympics and then there is a change to another subject
Handling increased debts becomes REALLY problematic for many folks in January after they are faced with the realities of "excessive spending" in December for ... {insert the who-knows-why reason here}.
Yup, not just in the UAE. Just look at your own home and native land  |
