Why on earth are you getting so worked up about this?

You attended an interview requiring less than half a day of your life that didn't go as expected. Yes, you are justified in warning other people. That is what on-line forums should be for. You could have summarized the whole thing in about three or four sentences.

However, compared with the brown stuff that other people have to live with in China, both Chinese and Western nationals, your gripes fade into comparative insignificance. I am sure it will not take long to get over it.

He's giving people a warning about the school. I'm sure teachers busy tring to find employment, don't fancy travelling to/ across Beijing in the cold for x amount of hours for what amounts to nothing, just because, some, so called professional didn't even bother to try to remember that they were coming.

I bet that many will appreciate the warning. I don't understand why everbody's giving the guy such a hard time. He certainly has a legitimate gripe, and as I said it may help prevent others from going through the same experience. I know that if I was job hunting, I would have little time or patience for such a charade.

If you read my reply, I don't say anything different to what you are saying. There is justification in giving a warning but there was also danger of this reaching epic over reaction. The reply that the OP himself gave was satisfactory.

Perhaps the same attitude should be taken with responses that are hyper critical serving only to make the responder feel superior in what has to be a drab little world.

Personally, I felt the OP was very concise. If others are willing to make the trip and be met by crap then so be it. I would really not want to work for someone who left me out in the cold at the interview.

Thanks for the heads up, and ignore the recruiter crew here.
