Why do Canadians have sex doggie-style?
So they can both watch the hockey game on the TV |

This just in from my cousin, another Leafs fan.
>One day my housework-challenged husband decided to wash his sweatshirt. Seconds after he stepped into the laundry room, he shouted to me, "What setting do I use on the washing machine?"
"It depends," I replied. "What does it say on your shirt?"
He yelled back, " TORONTO MAPLE LEAFS " |

Did you hear about the custody battle between the owner of the Montreal Canadians and his wife?
After a very long drawn out court battle their little 8 year old son was finally called to the stand.
The judge asked the boy....Son..who do you want to live with....your dad?
No..my dad beats me came the reply.
The judge gave the boy's father an evil glace and turned back to the boy and said...well son...I guess you want to live with your mother then?
No...my mother beats me too.
The judge looks at the boy's mother in discrace.
well son says the judge..who do you want to live with?
The boy looks at his father and then to his mother and back to the judge again.
I want to live with the Montreal Canadians.......
THEY NEVER BEAT ANYONE |

This one is from last years playoffs but if you recall Anaheims 4-0 series win over mighty Detroit you wil appreciate it.
A teacher asks her students what their father does for a living.
1 boy says a lawyer another says a cab driver, then the teacher asks jimmy.
Jimmy says my dad dances naked for men and sometimes does his buisness in a back room.
The teacher shocked pulls Jimmy aside and asks him if it was true?
Jimmy says No. My dad plays for the Redwings but I was to embarassed to say. |

Great stories Shaman and Capergirl.
I thought the Canucks had a chance, but not since Bertuzzi almost decapitated the Avalanche player Moore. |

| Bertuzzi is a goon. He planned the attack on Moore and he executed it. He also nearly executed Moore, who ended up with a broken neck. A lot of people are complaining that Bertuzzi got rapped too hard by being suspended for the rest of the season and the playoffs. I think he got off way too easy for someone who assaulted another human being and nearly killed him (or paralyzed him). That should have ended his career right there. JMHO. |

Bertuzzi is hardnosed and does have a mean streak, but the act really shocked me. It really seemed a bit out of character. I understand the heat of battle argument. I've been there before and so have many others. What differentiates his situation from many others is the blindsiding.
There is a rule in the NHL about fighting:
Once a player is unable to adequately protect himself, fight's over. Usually, the guy with the upper hand (maybe swollen by now) stops voluntarily.
Unfortunately, there wasn't a fair settling of accounts in this scenario. It was an ambush.

Everyone, I'm sure, has heard this old joke (but heck, I'll tell it anyway)
I was at a fight last night when a hockey game broke out.
