For this a Chinese teacher would be able to do the job perfectly well.

Except for the fact that they can't pronounce words properly. I guess this is the reason for them hiring a foreign teacher.

You mention you will be teaching to a schedule or curriculum. I think you need to get more details on that, what materials are used etc etc. If everything is all there for you to teach from, it could be OK

Yeah I'm trying to get an idea of what the curriculum is but I'm having a hard time getting a response from the employer. I'm a bit concerned this is some sort of tactic to get me on a tourist visa, but that's for another thread.

I doubt that's the reason. What i believe, however, is that you'll be "an attraction". Moreover, i think they may use you for the students' abroad applications.

Just make sure they've got copyrights on whatever they're doing. Then, check out their curriculum, if you get to know it, and see if it's really written by a pro foreign company/institution. Locals in the business are notorious liars. They also make FTs on mainland to do all kinds of work which they then use for their futher agenda. Pasting, copying, re-editing etc are some amazing discoveries of the local businesses. Judging by your not so great knowledge in the field, judging by your not so great knowledge in the field, chances are that you may not find out about such practices there.
