But we will have to first endure Queen Camilla. Shocked

Since a king rules over a kingdom, why doesn't a queen reign over a queendom?

Another Question of the Day:

When a King marries, his spouse becomes his Queen.

When a Queen marries, her spouse becomes her consort but not her King.

Why?

Dear Captain_Fil,

It's all about "keeping it in the family," I imagine. If the Queen dies, the Royal Family wouldn't want an "outsider" (the "consort") to ascend the throne.

But most of the times the consort is no outsider. It has been kept well in the family for centuries. what others call in-breeding, the royals call 'lineage'...

Perhaps the Dubliners can put an end to it and start the revolution?
