I did that course a year ago. On the plus side, it's cheap as chips & got me no shortage of work opportunities in China. On the negative side, it's pretty much worth the paper it's written on & no more. If you're broke & want to get some kind of certificate & mess about abroad for a year or two, then it's better than nothing.
I'm doing a CELTA this summer though. So even though t'other course is cheap, it's ultimately a ripoff since anyone half-serious about EFL teaching will end up having to pay for a proper course on top of the mickey mouse one. Whee. |
