Thanks everyone for all the input. I appreciate the fact that there are people willing to take the time to be helpful just as much as I value the advice itself. It makes me feel that there are plenty of good people in the ESL world, which gives me confidence to proceed.

There's a lot to get caught up in here, but I keep reminding myself that this is primarily about teaching. So long as I know my true purpose, I am confident that I will find the right course of action. I don't expect this to be easy, but as they say, nothing worthwhile ever is.
