I have a very similar situation to you, sarah. I have just started looking for opportunities within the last week or so. My partner and I are not married and he does not have a degree. Have you had any luck finding jobs? Neither of us have experience or TEFL certificates as I have heard that China doesn't always require it - which is where we are looking. Let me know if you had any luck or if you gave up. Based on my circumstances and what I have read on the posts, I am beginning to think it may be impossible.
