Exactly my sentiments. I have no problems with the small claims court system. That particular year I was party to 4, two initiated by me,hers, and one a countersuit. I won all four and the judges saw the validity of my arguments. But despite the annoyance, I was happy there were means for regressing wrongs, whether the plaintiff had cause or not. The young woman felt aggrieved that I had "done her wrong". She had the court system to try to address that issue.

The problem is that sometimes, the system does slip up and award lavish amounts for frivolous claims. That`s when the critics bellow, and rightfully so.
