The guy has $40,000 of debt, so whether you like it or not.....he has to think in absolute terms.

How much do IH pay?

How much do the other Big Mac Schools pay?

At least let the guy know how much he'll earn, so he can look at a cost of living guide.

IMHO IH will lead you down a path that ends up in a tight corner labelled 'skint', especially with debts like those.

When IH is the best school in a country, my newbie advice would be to never teach there.

And, apologies for the 'personal comment', it was made impersonally. For what it's worth, they were a great band.

Belarus is certainly not the place for someone with large debts. IH is just the best of a poor lot. There are no other Macschools in Minsk, although one of the schools does resemble Burger King (teachers flipped like lumps of meat and, as in Burger King in London some years ago, often paying zero-hour labour - i.e.you turn up to work and if they then cancel, you go home again without pay).

I'm not sure how relevant one's general opinion about IH is worth. From what I can see, they are managed differently in different places. Re IH Minsk, some people seem to like it there and others don't.
