Remember also that generally speaking, people like to complain more than they like to praise.
It's easy to read boards like these and come away with an overwhelming impression of negativity - but that's mostly because people who post are ticked off about various things and are looking to vent.
Happiness - as any writer knows - is difficult to write and boring to read.
Don't be scared away by negativity you read here. Based on personal experience and friendships I've made, I can safely say that the majority of Westerners living and working here are quite content, quietly going about their lives and never even looking at Dave's. Because they don't need to. Trust me. Call them the Silent Majority. |
